The care home WZC Westervier has been opening its garden to slow travellers for a few years now. WTMG has already brought many special moments for both travellers and residents.
As part of the “Day and Night of the Caregivers” (Dag en Nacht van de Mantelzorger), WTMG hosts Patrick and Josefien are organizing a WTMG meetup in the garden of the care home so that slow travellers and hosts can meet each other, share experiences and talk about WTMG.
Whether you're a host, a slow traveller or just curious about WTMG, everyone is welcome!
It’s free, but mandatory to register. We can't wait to see you there! 💚
Here's what you need to know:
📅 When: Friday 3 July 2026. You can arrive whenever you want from 14:00.

Where:
WZC Westervier (Speelpleinlaan 44, 8310 Bruges)
🏕️ Sleep: You can join just in the afternoon and/or evening, or pitch your tent for the night.
🍲 Food & drinks: It’s a potluck! Bring a dish to share with others. Westervier is organizing a very nice breakfast on Saturday morning as a fundraiser for their garden equipment (more info in the form).
🚲 Social ride: Optional bike ride or walk in and around Bruges on Saturday.
